This training will focus on using input tools that allow the students to drive the classroom structure, environment and learning process. In addition, the tools are equally effective when applied to academic content and skills. The training will allow participants to learn the tools and provide time to practice them. The Learner-Centered Classroom training will help staff unleash the power of students; when used in tandem with a performance system, student engagement and acceleration of learning will result.
Participation in a previous RISC multi-day training is a prerequisite. Teachers, principals, curriculum coordinators, superintendents and other stakeholder group representatives who directly directly impact instruction in the classroom are encouraged to attend.
