Event: Leadership & Beacon Training in Auburn, Maine.

Date: June 11, 2012.

This is a customized RISC training with a goal of building leadership capacity to support wide scale implementation of a personalized mastery system.

Event: CDD Training at RSU 3 in Maine.

Dates: August 27 – 30, 2012.

This training will focus on the first implementation of tools to engage all students in the ownership of their learning. Teachers will learn to build collegial support around problem solving in an effort to implement a learner-centered culture, create procedural efficiency, and develop transparency so students can navigate their learning. The training will also build skills of balanced instruction to include direct, analytical, contextual instruction and incorporating student voice and choice.

Event: CDD Training with a focus on elementary education in Sanford, Maine.

Dates: August 8 – 9, 2012.

The training will also build skills of balanced instruction to include direct, analytical, contextual instruction and incorporating student voice and choice.

Event: RISC will be conducting a Leadership Training in Sanford, Maine for teachers and administrators.

Date: June 22, 2012.

This training will provide a deeper understanding of personalized mastery supported the RISC framework of shared vision, leadership and continuous improvement. Discussions and interactions focus upon:

• How can leaders change the current system to better meet the needs of individual students?
• What leadership strategies are needed to create this deep change?
• How do stakeholders identify their own moral purpose and create a shared vision of a personalized mastery system?
• How do stakeholders build positive relationships to realize the shared vision?

Event: Owning The Learning Training in Auburn, Maine.

Dates: June 12 – 13, 2012.

This training provides an awareness of the RISC approach to learning; where the entire educational system is organized around engaging student in 21st century skills, in a learner-centered environment, working at their instructional levels advancing only when they have demonstrated proficiency.

Event: Owning The Learning Training with a focus on kindergarten through 6th grade at Sanford School District in Maine.

Date: May 25, 2012.

This training provides an awareness of the RISC approach to learning; where the entire educational system is organized around engaging student in 21st century skills, in a learner-centered environment, working at their instructional levels advancing only when they have demonstrated proficiency.

Event: Classroom Follow Up Visits Peer Coaching Model at RSU 57 in Maine.
